Biden Has Admitted to Feeling ‘Tired,’ New Book Says

The book’s publisher says the work is based on ‘unparalleled access to the tight inner circle of advisers who have surrounded Biden for decades’

President Joe Biden has reportedly admitted to feeling “tried,” according to a copy of Franklin Foer’s upcoming book “The Last Politician: Inside Joe Biden’s White House and the Struggle for America’s Future,” obtained by The Guardian.

“His advanced years were a hindrance, depriving him of the energy to cast a robust public presence or the ability to easily conjure a name,” Foer wrote.

“It was striking that he took so few morning meetings or presided over so few public events before 10am,” the book reportedly reads. “His public persona reflected physical decline and time’s dulling of mental faculties that no pill or exercise regime can resist.”

Foer continued: “In private, he would occasionally admit that he felt tired.”

According to The Guardian, Foer does not cite a specific source for the private remarks made by Biden.

The book’s publisher, Penguin Random House, says the work is based on “unparalleled access to the tight inner circle of advisers who have surrounded Biden for decades.”

Foer is a staff writer the The Atlantic and worked as an editor for The New Republic for seven years. He is also the author of “World Without Mind and How Soccer Explains the World.”

The book is scheduled for release next week and a hardcover copy is selling for $30. The cover features an up-close photo of Biden’s famous aviator-style sunglasses with the reflections of reporters in the lenses.
